We have been working hard to design new Nutty Scientists At-Home Programs, that aren’t simply “Science Classes” over Zoom. Our goal was to create and offer hands-on, interactive, at-home programs that would engage students all week long, without constraining them to the computer screen for more than necessary. We launched these programs this summer, and we have had lots of great, positive feedback from parents and students!

How do they work?

At Home Kits

Students receive a supply kit with the instructions and supplies needed for the entire session!
The kit will contain all of the supplies necessary to complete the activities for the entire session.  Each week, students will receive written instructions for one of the activities in the kit.  Students then work throughout the week at their own pace (away from the screen), exploring the exciting project for the week!

Pre-Recorded Videos

Later in the week, students will receive access to a pre-recorded video from a Nutty Scientist with additional instructions and information about the topic of the week.

Interactive Zoom Meeting

Weekly Zoom with a Nutty Scientist where students have the opportunity to share their projects from the week, ask questions, share about their challenges and successes AND some extra Nutty Challenges
