Interactive and exciting!!l!! Nutty Scientists Hudson Valley Summer Science Camps are registering now! Do your kids love science? Well, we do and want to show them how fun STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) can be. This year we are at the Red Hook Community Center (59 Fisk St, Red Hook, NY 12571). For our summer programs, we run 3-hour/day science camps M-F that last one week.

For each camp you choose, children should sign up for either morning or afternoon – no full days.

CAMP DESCRIPTIONS

Ooey Gooey Science

This super fun camp features wacky science experiments that are …. kinda messy! Make your own slime and homemade bubble gum! Experiment with density and elephant toothpaste. Have you ever popped fog bubbles from dry ice? Prepare for a really big grin.

The Ooey Gooey summer camp runs twice during July (7/14-7/18). You can choose either a 9-12pm time slot or a 1-4pm time slot. It is recommended for ages 5-8.

Bugs and Butterflies

Grab your magnifying glasses! We are investigating the miniature world of our gardens! Imagine you’ve been shrunk to the size of a lady bug! What would you eat? Will we wear bug goggles to see the world as they do! Of course. Will we create amazing terrariums to study their home lives? You bet! Every day we will meet a different live bug like butterflies, worms, bess beetles, rolly pollies and ladybugs. Will you also become a bug? Well no, but you may want to after this camp!

The Bugs & Butterflies summer camp runs twice – for one week in July (7/21-7/25) and one week in August (8/11-8/15). Both weeks run during the earlier time slot (9am-12pm). This is for ages 5-8 years old.

Robotics

Robotics is back! Can YOU draw a color code for an Ozobot to follow? Or program an edison bot to follow a flashlight? Is it crazy if we ask you to guide a sphero robot through pools of paint? We'll build circuits, create swarms of vibrobots and probably do the robot dance. Beep beep boop beep!

The Robotics Camp runs once in July (7/15-7/19) from 1pm to 4pm. It is geared to kids ages 8-12.

Dinosaurs Camp

Dinosaur bones have been spotted at the Red Hook Community Center. You need to unearth them and discover the mysteries of these prehistoric beasts! Run highly scientific tests on fossils to check they are real. Create a dinosaur! Master the immense timeline of the past. Embrace the dinosaur…

The Dinosaur Camp runs once in July (7/15-7/19) from 9am to 1pm and repeats again in August (8/12-8/16) from 9am to 1pm. This camp is geared to ages 5-8.

Escape Room Camp

Solve a new mystery every day and unlock the challenges in this exciting puzzler! We'll put on our detective hats and break the codes, search for clues, and unveil the truth. Scavenger hunts and scientific conundrums. Perplexing crimes that require your expertise. And yes.. there will be bones. We need your help!!

The Escape Room summer camp runs for one week during August (8/11-8/15) from 1pm-4pm. It is recommended for ages 8-10.
