Combining fun with learning, Nutty Scientists’ Camps are an innovative form of “edutainment” (entertainment + education). Each workshop contains an educational theme that keeps children engaged all day, every day.

Newton’s laws of motion created Industrial and Space revolution. In these workshops we will exemplify the concept of Forces and Motion for our budding scientists to make them understand how they help run the beautiful machines around us.

  • Learn about different types of simple machines and how they influence change in direction or magnitude of force. Understand how simple machines can combine to make a complex machine.
  • Describe how forces affect the motion of a projectile and what angle does it travel the farthest distance. Explain and compare meaning of accuracy and precision. Build your own catapult.
  • Teach the effect of different substances on the surface tension of water. Show that air is less dense than water. Build a model submarine.

Nutty Scientists is a COVIDsafe business and our workshops will run in compliance with the NSW Health COVID19 guidelines at the time of the event.

Please pack a nut-free lunch, morning tea, afternoon tea, hat, sunscreen and bottle of water. There will be supervised outside play during breaks. If your child has any allergies, please let us know in advance.

These workshops are recommended for children aged between 5 to 12 years old. As our workshops are hands-on and interactive, we limit the registrations to 20 children per workshop. The workshops are run/managed by 2-3 professors to ensure each child receives the attention they need.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
