Combining fun with learning, Nutty Scientists’ Camps are an innovative form of “edutainment” (entertainment + education). Each workshop contains an educational theme that keeps children engaged all day, every day.
“We cannot create Observers by saying Observe, but by giving them the power and the means for this observation and means are procured through education of the senses”. This quote by Maria Montessori is the theme of our Observation and Senses Workshop
- Kids will be able to decipher between what is an observation and what is an inference., understand the importance of measurement and practice observation skills using all 5 senses.
- Children will learn the concept of Osmosis and Diffusion in everyday life. They will also be able to identify differences in the diffusion process due to physical factors such as temperature.
- Kids will examine optical illusions and how the brain interprets these images.
Nutty Scientists is a COVIDsafe business and our workshops will run in compliance with the NSW Health COVID19 guidelines at the time of the event.
Please pack a nut-free lunch, morning tea, afternoon tea, hat, sunscreen and bottle of water. There will be supervised outside play during breaks. If your child has any allergies, please let us know in advance.
These workshops are recommended for children aged between 5 to 12 years old. As our workshops are hands-on and interactive, we limit the registrations to 20 children per workshop. The workshops are run/managed by 2-3 professors to ensure each child receives the attention they need.
