Combining fun with learning, Nutty Scientists’ Camps are an innovative form of “edutainment” (entertainment + education). Each workshop contains an educational theme that keeps children engaged all day, every day.
Every cool invention starts with a creative idea. In this workshop, we go down the memory lane and recreate inventions in the field of sound, electricity and physics.
- Kids will learn about sound and how it travels in wave patterns. They will understand principle behind wired telephones and make a Cuica to take home
- Learn about electricity and make an electric circuit. Learn about Morse code, radio telegraphy and how it was used in ancient times. Send and decode messages sent via Morse code.
- Teach kids about friction and how to overcome it. Explain the principles of an Air hockey game and use it to make a balloon hovercraft.
Nutty Scientists is a COVIDsafe business and our workshops will run in compliance with the NSW Health COVID19 guidelines at the time of the event.
Please pack a nut-free lunch, morning tea, afternoon tea, hat, sunscreen and bottle of water. There will be supervised outside play during breaks. If your child has any allergies, please let us know in advance.
These workshops are recommended for children aged between 5 to 12 years old. As our workshops are hands-on and interactive, we limit the registrations to 20 children per workshop. The workshops are run/managed by 2-3 professors to ensure each child receives the attention they need.
