Want your child to enjoy a full day of fun?

Ember & Root is partnering with Nutty Scientists to offer a seamless full-day camp experience right here at our facility.

Nutty Scientists will run an engaging morning camp from 9:00–12:00, and Ember & Root will take it from 12:00–3:30 with our signature afternoon programming.

Full-day campers will enjoy a 12:00–12:30 lunch break supervised by Ember & Root (please send a packed lunch). After lunch, children will transition smoothly into our PM camp for an afternoon of creativity, community, and choice-filled fun.

Prepare to be amazed by jaw-dropping chemical reactions and roll up your sleeves for tons of hands-on experiments as you explore the wonders of science.

LOVING CHEMICAL REACTIONS

Children will explore the building blocks of matter and the structure of atoms by creating their own molecules. They will also learn to distinguish between a physical and a chemical change of matter. They will do amazing endothermic and exothermic chemical reactions.

CRAZY STATES OF MATTER

Children will understand the three physical stages of matter: solid, liquid, and gas, and understand the process of sublimation.

Life Hack Showdown!

December 29 & 30 • 12:30–3:30 • $90 (Call 479-208-6075 if you have questions about the Ember & Root portion of the camp.)

Did you know you can turn an old sock into a microwavable hand warmer? Or make a tool belt out of duct tape?

Or use a binder clip to organize almost anything?

Or turn a strip of duct tape into a super-strong zipper pull?

Kids love discovering clever little tricks—and in this camp, they’ll put tons of kid-friendly hacks to the test!

Life Hack Showdown! is a fun, choose-your-own-adventure style camp where kids explore wild hacks, strange shortcuts, silly solutions, and mini inventions—then vote: Genius? Handy? Or totally wack? They can remix hacks, create their own versions, or follow any curious idea that pops into their minds. Kids will go home with new ideas for games to play while waiting in line, clever ways to organize their supplies, fun clean-up tricks, and plenty of completely useless (but hilarious) hacks too.

Each day includes:

• A TinkerKitchen snack activity (fun hacks you can eat)
• A whole-group game inspired by silly challenges and fast thinking
• A set of themed “hack stations” kids rotate through at their own pace
• Open choice time for tinkering, crafting, inventing, or doing their own thing

All materials are included, and campers enjoy the cozy, clubhouse-style setting that makes Ember & Root special.
